All of us inherited a temper from our parents. It is the combination of congenital characteristics that consciously or unconsciously affect our procedure.

These temperament characteristics can last for some time or even a lifetime. It all depends on the intensity of how we deal with our temperament.

Types of Temperaments

  1. SANGUINE

It is always cordial, euphoric and vigorous. Receptive by nature, it makes its decisions through feelings and not through thoughts.

By the passionate and involved nature that it possesses, it infects an environment full of people by its presence.

Because he does not like solitude and likes socializing, the sanguine always has friends. And they attract the envy of people of more timid temperaments.

They are good salespeople, public servers, teachers, lecturers, actors, operators, preachers and occasionally good bosses.

Weaknesses: Taking attitudes based on your feelings, being impatient, having weak will and difficulty finishing what was started.

Problems: This type is hasty, easily distracted, wastes time and conversation, easily irritated, financial and professional instability, not persistent.

  1. CHOLERIC

This person is ardent, lively, active, practical and willful. By being determined and stubborn, he becomes self-sufficient and very independent.

By being active, he stimulates those around you, does not give way to pressures. He has a firmness in what he does, which often makes him successful.

Many world leaders and great generals have been choleric. They are always good managers, planners, producers or dictators.

Weaknesses: Impatient, lacks compassion, is inflexible, impetuous, uncontrollable.

Problems: They can become demanding; it is a person of many arguments, ruthless in the decisions, absence of kindness, creates bars difficult to be reached, manipulates situations.

  1. MELANCHOLIC

This person is analytical, selfless, gifted, and a perfectionist. This makes him an admirer of the fine arts.

They are introverted by nature, but sometimes driven by your mood to be extroverted. Other times, they are cloistered like a snail, becoming hostile.

He is a faithful friend, but does not make friends easily because of being suspicious. He has the ability to analyze the dangers involved in a situation. They force themselves towards suffering and always choose a difficult vocation that involves great personal sacrifice.

Many of the great geniuses of the world; artists, musicians, inventors, philosophers, educators and theorists, were melancholics. We can see these characteristics in biblical characters of projection as Moses, Elijah, Solomon, the apostle John and many others.

Negative sides:

  • Selfish
  • Sulky
  • Pessimistic
  • Theoretical
  • Confused
  • Anti-social
  • Critical
  • Vengeful
  • Inflexible

Weaknesses: This is a critical, self-willed person in excess.

Problems: Expect a lot from people in return for what they do. They meddle where they shouldn’t, spend time with what they shouldn’t, disrupting their work; dislike people who have a different point of view, get in the way of people who oppose their way.

  1. PHLEGMATIC

This person is calm, cool and well balanced, rarely explodes in laughter or anger, always keeping emotions under control. It is the only kind of consistent temperament, but has a lot more emotion than he shows.

Because they like socializing, they do not miss friends and always find something funny in others. This person is nice and has a good heart. Does not get involved in other people’s activities, being very capable and efficient.

This person is a conciliator and peacemaker. Good diplomats, administrators, teachers and technicians.

Weaknesses: being indifferent to surroundings, indolence, knowing how to provoke others.

Problems: Hurt people through their jokes, do not put enough efort to perform their tasks at a satisfactory pace.
